Panorama City

Panorama City is a neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley, situated in the city of Los Angeles. It is identified as the first planned town of San Fernando Valley and was developed in 1948 by Fritz B. Burns and Henry J. Kaiser. The renowned architecture company Wurdeman & Becket designed the city. It also has a city council formed through volunteer elected and appointed officials.

Geographically, the city shares its borders with Mission Hills, Arleta, Sun Valley, Valley Glen, Van Nuys, and North Hills. It is considered the most populated area in the San Fernando Valley and is also famous for inhibiting an ethnically diverse population.

According to the U.S. census of 2010, around 69,817 residents have been living there. Most of that population has a younger age range and comprises multiple ethnicities. The city contains the highest percentage of Latinos while having a significant Asian ratio. Apart from them, there is a considerable demographic average of whites and African Americans living in the area.

The city also has a Panorama City Chamber of Commerce Department and the Panorama City Neighbourhood Council to oversee all the commercial and locality-related matters. Metro and LADOT are operating the Panorama City bus service routes. A new Metro line in 2027 falls under the city's plans, which aims to open the East San Fernando Valley Transit Corridor light rail project having stations on Van Nuys Boulevard.

The city also has private and public schools in the area, with two medical centers serving the community. In addition, the Panorama City Mall remains an essential landmark for local retail business for years.

There are three entertaining recreation areas: The Panorama Recreation Center, The Sepulveda Recreation Center, and The Mid-Valley Senior Citizen Center.

These places have different sections like gymnasium, auditorium, play area for kids, indoor basketball court, tennis court, and lighted base diamond.
