Arleta

Arleta is a neighborhood in the region San Fernando Valley belonging to the city of Los Angeles, California. It falls under the 6th City Council District and shares borders with famous areas like Mission Hills and North Hills, Sun Valley, Pacoima, and Panorama City.

It is famous for having a high percentage of Latino residents living in it and a higher ratio of people born outside the United States. Paxton Avenue, Laurel Canyon Boulevard, Tonopah Avenue, and Woodman Avenue come on the city's boundaries from different sides. The headquarters of the fashion company Juicy Couture also erect there.

In 2000, the total number of residents counted by the U.S. census was 31,068, and the median age recorded is 29 years. The ratio of residents of age 11-18 was amongst the highest as compared to adults.

Overall, the area is moderately diverse ethnically as around 71% of people belong to Latino ethnicity while the remaining 30% belong to blacks and Asians living there. Moreover, Mexico and El Salvador are the birthplaces of about 46% of residents born abroad.

There Are two Parks located in the town; Branford Park and Devonshire Arleta Park. The former facility contains numerous activities for the residents and visitors alike. That includes an auditorium, baseball diamond, baseball diamond, basketball courts, a children's play area, a community room, gymnasium, a music room, picnic tables, a soccer field, a stage, tennis courts, and volleyball courts.

The neighborhood falls under Los Angeles Unified School District and has about four elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school.

The Golden State Freeway (I-5) and the Hollywood Freeway (SR 170) access the neighborhood. At the same time, Van Nuys Boulevard, Woodman Avenue, Arleta Avenue, Sheldon, Branford, Osborne, and Terra Bella Streets are the major thoroughfares.
